Sweet Potato Nianwo is an authentic snack from my hometown Wuhan and one of my favorite breakfast choices. Its preparation is straightforward, so why not give it a try?
Ingredients: – 1 sweet potato (400-500g) – Flour, as needed – A small amount of salt – Oil, as needed Instructions: 1. Wash, peel, and cut the sweet potato into small pieces. Avoid large chunks to prevent uneven cooking. 2. Add flour, salt, and water, then mix until the sweet potato pieces lightly stick together. 3. Heat oil in a pan and shape the mixture into small patties before frying. Ensure the oil covers the patties (I used less oil due to a flat pan). 4. Fry over low heat until the surface turns golden brown. 5. After removing, place on a plate lined with kitchen paper to absorb excess oil. 6. Serve hot for a crispy and fragrant taste.
